Outback here we come! Mt Isa and Alice Springs
Have you not in the school of Alice Springs heard, seen the images of Ayers Rock and the red desert all around? Has by chance someone read in the last months of the Australian city where come to a woman ten men, and switched their mayor nationwide newspaper ads, has denominated this way: "Are you a fat or ugly women and have no man Come to Mount Isa here you can also find a "? What is read here as pronounced, in the outback hard reality. While young women move into attractive coast towns (where it then is a lack of men), the real guys working in the mines in the hot heart of the country and bring copper, lead, silver and coal to light.
The Outback is like the Wild West in the USA: Everywhere men with Cowboyhuetten, huge trucks, rodeo, "Truck of the Year - Awards, huge Kuhfarmen. Large areas of arid plants, red earth, straight highway ....
Mount Isa
This town only exists because of the ansa vinegars expression, and is inconsolable eleven hour bus ride from the coast of reach. All normal travelers passed through. We stopped and looked closer. Couch Surfer Eddie took us on for two nights. The city is isolated, unattractive, and the Australian summer about 44 degrees hot day. This strutting people here doing the city a lot: Eddie, prescribing medication in the hospital gets for his 2 month contract not only an enormous amount of money, but also house and car provided. Still, he wants to leave, and I understand him well. His friends, who we met on the occasion of the great sporting event, "State of Origin" to see the same: make money and get out quickly. We looked at Mt Isa from two vantage points on off, the sun was obscured by the exhaust gases from the air. The rest was just as much worth seeing. On a visit to a reconstructed face, we did not, as the visit of an underground hospital, which was never in operation, and now the main attraction of the city. The best was the library (free internet) and the Rugby Evening with Eddie and his friends and neighbors.
Alice Springs
Some voices that we heard, suggested Alice Springs was different. After a night bus with change by 3 clock in the morning and many hundreds of miles further west we arrived. We put the clock back half an hour and played 30 minutes, which you can do but here less meaningful. Although we could with a car or bicycles a few little things look in the area, but like all the other travelers we are here to make a tour to Uluru / Ayers Rock and Kings Canyon. We opted for a three day tour, with overnight under the stars, and have to wait a day, since the tour for today (Saturday) was already booked. Sandra and I use the day to sleep off, and in detail to write blog, just as you notice :-)
We are looking forward to tomorrow so, and try to rumzukriegen today. Sandra has a little afraid of the nights in the open air, although the tour operators assure that there are no snakes would crawl over his face one night. I look forward to hiking and climbing, as well as great photos of Uluru. In Kings Canyon you can seems to swim in waterholes great!
photos on the outback and our next adventure soon!
