Red Burst Capilaries On Breast

UFOs ...

... and that on several occasions and that too at right - dead silence and a total orphan Blog - intolerable conditions. But what can I say, the first was bustle and always something going on - new kitchen, new car.

end of May, namely, a cyclist in the teen years, the great idea once embark in the driver's side of my poor old car by adding to it without seeing something can no brakes went out of the side street onto the main road. - Quote answer to my question as to why he had not slowed down because "I've come to hear a car ..." I tell you, because you do not know whether you should laugh or cry. Fortunately, the kid obviously had an army of guardian angels and came with bruises and abrasions from it. We can not imagine if it had happened there even more. My poor 9 years old and full of beans, fresh geTÜVter Mitsubishi Colt has blessed it but unfortunately the time and is now being scrapped. You do not believe what cause a cyclist in a car for a harm may be unbelievable.
pity, was a great car.

Well, yes and order than all the fuss with insurance and a new car and so was finally over, I'm like quasi communication technology into the silly season. not feel like taking pictures, etc., but not in the mood for blogging the knitting pleasure is survived .* * smile completely contrary to my nature I'm now 5 UFOs now on, and I think tomorrow will be determined to have a new one. More below.

The Blue is knit completely in the Strima where striped jumper I have all the qualifications I-cord is knitted by hand I'll start first with what it is in the last few weeks have been finished. The first two are here as far back as in June and are both built on the knitting machine ..

Here is a little leftovers on the machine, a baby cardi, which is knitted in one piece. Here, the ribbing is knitted by hand because I can knit on my single machine no right-left pattern. He's also given away already, and is apparently from the small recipient want to wear.

yes, and lest you think I would chose a no longer by hand, here is the proof that I still do. The Little Shell Top was completely fixed. However, I'm with the trim on the armholes not completely satisfied, I should probably ran again.

So now's it for today but will only be enough time.

Singapore - where I get to home? Auckland

By Thursday evening, we are in Singapore. Than us at that time, the book our trip to the student travel agency, the woman asked if we wanted to stop on the way back in Singapore a few days, we made no bones. Now we are here. Until tomorrow night ...
Originally, we were motivated, had big plans quickly get to know Singapore, then over to Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur over again soon gorgeous, all appear cheap and easy.

But eventually the air out of him some day. We are sitting here in little backpackers in India, and count the hours until the return flight. Not that there is here in the trading center directly on the equator, would be not interesting - sheer fancy home is the reason! We look forward to our friends and family for a few days in Bad salty and Bremen, before returning to Kreuzberg, in our own four walls ... I think we have in the past few months had enough experience, the sense organs to be exhausted and satisfied the taste buds with a variety of dishes.

The first three days we have at our Indian Bireshwar Couch Surfer (the picture of the right of both, on the bob run at Sentosa Iceland) used to. The benches and is living in a posh palace for expats, of course, with pool and stuff. Part with him, some without, we got to know the city, visiting the Vergnuegungsinsel Sentosa and took part in the extraordinary night safari, a must for all visitors to Singapore! Outstanding of the bat Pavilion, fly in the first, the critters around our ears, and stretch their wings man-sized beasts in Batman-style!

addition Bireshwar showed us a couple of local pubs, including the famous Raffles Hotel (pioneering developer of English town), where we drank there invented the Singapore Sling cocktail. Tips for all travelers: Be sure to ask the fare before. But anyway it tastes bad. The most expensive cocktail of my life would have it nice and quiet be allowed ;-) In the picture: the best of a not so tasty game.

On the following morning when we left Bireshwar, we really wanted to go directly to Malaysia. But schwuelheisses weather, general listlessness and lack of drive brought us to our heavy backpacks just a few kilometers further into a nice, pleasant drag Hostel. There, with good views from the roof, free tea, coffee, internet and breakfast, we now spend our last hours of travel, stress-free, easy, Fiji Time. Write e-mails, which read about the upcoming election season and Werder start to look forward to our return!

very lazy, we are of course not, at least we are out walking the city not seen better and seen nice places. Click on the photos: Boat Quay (reflection in the sunglasses) and the Merlion (water-breathing lion-mermaid at the sea).

So, friends, now you ask, of course, whether this is inevitably the end of this nice travel blog.
And?

First of all, we hope that our trip reports have you had fun. We were definitely in a lot of fun writing! Sandra will be forever Thinking back, as we in Kep, Cambodia-South, in a shack on the water sat in the heat of being stabbed to death in the absence Mueckensprays threatened, and gave us the young owner of pity his last spray. Next to us was on the table a high-pregnant women who received an infusion. Of course, always there: the rumbling, upset stomach. But, we have written. Posted

we have, as we half frozen in the Tongariro National Park sat in New Zealand after we have 20 kilometers across the snow-capped volcano, booted, and could hardly move. Or in Mengla, this dirty little Chinese border city, in an Internet cafe with hundreds rancid spielsuechtigen teenagers totschossen to each other over the network with a lot of noise. Skype good friends were there live. Forgotten, the small internet cafe in Sapa, where the cold wet clouds moved through the streets and front of the glass, the Black H'mong its sales team along with knitted wares lined up for us ...

On Fiji gabs no Internet. But even there we were looking forward to being able to write about it after our return from Paradise, and to share the pictures with you!
Without the blog, and you would have without it, especially not so much fun. The trip was terrific, varied, unforgettable. We hope you happy with you and us and mitgelacht mitgelitten. Some pictures you've already seen. About 5,000 then we have in our home, which you can look at you like if you ever come over again with us! Sandra wants to reduce this number still, but I try to stay hard.

And?

We believe that this is not the end of our trip. Berlin is not the end but a step. Not a step back, but another dream destination and adventure, and we look forward to. And where you have some hope! Just have occasionally new items .... maybe we have posted what looks :-) Or Just past the small barbecue party at our 5th September.

soon,

Sandra and Michael traveling

My Nose Bleeds Inside

... again and again! Kauri & Bay of Islands, Rainbow Warrior

more images follow

After the great time on the Fiji we went so again for five days back to Auckland. As has already been a few weeks ago we took back our old car from ACE Rentals and drove from the airport to Alan and Gilly, where we again found a warm home. On the way we have made a little excursion that took us over the Auckland Harbour Bridge, along the waterfront, the skyline of Central Business District in the background.

Of the Fiji we have brought minor stomach upsets - the first day we leave it then take it easy. We went to visit Sandra's former bus driver Ian and his wife Pauline, at the other end of the sprawling city. As usual, Sandra 2003 in Auckland, they were often driven by Ian at night directly in front of the house, with the public night bus full of people! This led to a pen pal that lasted over the years. Great was the joy of reunion. We were invited for lunch, and had to go through hundreds of photos we can. was taken as another big box of pictures, we attacked the white lie: Despite the pouring rain we claimed to want to drive to the beach :-) But it was great, and also showed that it pays to keep up unusual friendships. Ian and Sandra were happy.

evening we went further met with Sandra's old friend, her former colleague Jacky us downtown for a beer. She was so happy to reunite with Sandra, and bought the same round, on the grounds that we had already paid all the way to her. The two could then carry on from the chatter among colleagues and had a fine. The operation, a young New Zealander, was pleased with a smattering of German with us: he studied opera and learn why our difficult language ...

The next day we went go to our little trip to the north of the North Island. Afternoon we came to the mighty Kauri trees, particularly in New Zealand once a ubiquitous tree species, which puts the viewer in awe. First, we ran through the forest to Te Matua Ngahere, "the" Father of the Forest ". Not very high, but with 16.41 meters, the largest trunk circumference of all trees in New Zealand. Its trunk is 10.21 meters high, its total height was 29.9 meters. With former 208 m it has the second largest volume of all trees in New Zealand. Its age is estimated between 2000 and 3000 years.

Then we hiked to 'Tane Mahuta', called the "God of the Forest" as the Maori him. He is one the largest still living trees and is the largest known kauri tree. Its root length is 51.5 m. The perimeter ground is 13.77 m, corresponding to a diameter of almost 4.5m. Only in 18 m height of the tree has branches. His age is probably 1250-2500 years.

Now we had enough of the trees, and drove west to the Bay of Islands. After an overnight stay in the car on the beach, where we met an interesting homeless Maori, and his kind invitation to breakfast from his cart to hygienic considerations, refused to his stories about the origin of today's eager but New Zealand listened, we were just a little of the magical coast. The Bay of Islands is a Kuestenabschnitt with numerous small islands that can be used particularly in the summer for all types of water sports. We would love also to the ship wreck of the "Rainbow Warrior" disappeared, but first, it was expensive, secondly, the wreck lies in deep-sea diving Michis permissible limit of 18 meters ... Next time. The ship was donated to Greenpeace, sunk after it (the older ones remember?) 1985 by French secret service with two packets of explosives, was in the "Operation Satanique" arranged and known to the French President Mitterrand. Il sont incroyable, les francais!

I can even still vaguely reminiscent of the time. What I did not even: To the arrested then and freizupressen convicted of manslaughter and arson offenders, the European community imposed an import ban in 1986 a New Zealand lamb meat and butter threatened, even with further sanctions. Is not that crass? Read

We drove back to Auckland, and spent some time with Alan and Gilly, and of course Jerry, Eric and Jack Jack, before we "goodbye" and said we were on our way to Singapore. On the last night Thats has a self-shot by Alan's friend Wild boar, served a type that normally hunt deer - from his helicopter, mountain Hammer Springs ... New Zealand indicated.

Why Do My Legs Ache After Sitting

Fiji - Nacula Iceland

After 5 days, we then traveled to the north, almost to the northernmost point of the Yasawas Islands. We had opted for the Nacula Island, as the blue lagoon is near and we needed a little more seclusion. On the other hand, it was also difficult, with so many different islands and resorts in advance to make the differences identified ...

of Mana, we had to first with the dive boat, the mutated quickly to the water taxi at dawn to the next island (Beachcomber Iceland). This is a party island, which consists only of sand and palm trees, and one in 30 min. can rotate once, at the most. Everything is full of young Sauftouristen, fortunately came right out of the big yellow catamaran, the "Yasawa Flyer", which connects the different islands. The next three hours we drove to dozens of other islands, often fantastically small islands with only a few cottages, and lonely Palmenstraenden. The resorts then send out more small boats to bring the boat and invite new departure for the tourists. Our island was the last of the whole island group, so we have seen almost all the way :-) Yasawas
Nacula is one of the largest islands. Volcanic in origin, it is sometimes very rocky, not everywhere, there are beach, but high mountains and jungle right. Our Resort, Nabua Lodge, like the other three resorts on the island, were relatively empty - since the financial crisis and the military coup a few months ago were in many tourists. In the picture our little hut, which consisted only of wood, straw and Palmenblaettern and small animals entering easier. Forgotten the cry that uttered Sandra evening, jumped out of her backpack as a giant cockroach ...

So we got to the other six to ten people to know quickly and were exchanged for three days as a small family, travel tips, Volleyball played under palm trees or drove along the blue lagoon. Yes, just the blue lagoon where the film was then shot. We went over with the boat for 15 Fiji dollars for half a day, snorkeled, and enjoyed the crystal clear water and beautiful beach.
ran the afternoon, but we get back on Nacula, an hour through the jungle, and then found the wonderful beach, the backpacker's heart beat faster: In "Oarsman Bay" a Riesenriff Catch with colorful corals on the same beach, we have the most colorful fish seen in the world, of course, many Nemos, and were able to asses enthusiasm hardly ...

diving we were again, with the Diving school from the blue lagoon. Three Fiji Diveinstructors, an old New Zealander and three Italians came out roaring of the sea. My first dive without specific supervision, as with Sandra Buddy! After several delays due to forget the Italians (eg fins on land ....) we went down at last, about 35 minutes on 12-20 meters. At medium Stroehmung we have indeed seen some nice coral, but overall, little fish ... After surfacing, the sea was still rough, and one Italian had then losgekotzt same. Quote Instructor: "You feeding the sharks, my friend?"

We were then separated from the dive boat at the resort - the Italians had for three dives logged and had to go ;-) Our stomachs have even recovered so well that we have been drinking the evening with a few Fijians a few rounds of Cava, the local drink number one. Brewed from the powder of native roots, it is alleged narcotic and causes but in any case, tingling lips. It tastes like old Theory of operation and is drunk in the old ceremony in a train from coconut shells. Then three times clap their hands ... Somehow we both gespuehrt although not much (probably was diluted for the foreigners), but fun anyway!

On the last day, was then to leave again went to a neighboring village. There we were received kindly equal to the chief, after he issued to us a gift of 5 Fijidollar permission to enter the village. He is the ruler over some 560 inhabitants and the resorts on the island. We could ask him a few questions and then make another nice picture with him. Next they were still on the market, a large Strohhuette in which the women of the village offering their handmade jewelry. Our resort boss had previously made clear to us that the women had only this single source of revenue, and we ask much and to buy many ... not easy, because all women had the same shell necklaces and Kokosholzarmbaender, and looked at with hope!

A short time later, we again boarded the Yasawas flyer who drove five hours back to the mainland, and the next morning we flew back to Auckland ... The time on the Fiji was fantastic and often went by so quickly!

Bula - Fiji here we come! Mana Iceland

Who would have thought that once we get to the Fiji ... But from Auckland, it is "only" a 3-hour flight and you're back in the summer! So packed with long underwear on the plane and it was in Fiji for the first time in airport toilet and into the summer clothes (Michael, meanwhile, had taken out full of anticipation already in Auckland, the flip-flops).

We had to spend a night on the main island, before we take a boat to the islands, as found in brochures, could. Important is the concept of "Fiji Time", which means that everything is proceeding more slowly than normal, or as desired. So let the called as our bus from the hotel about an hour to pick us up. We were then still a German, whom we met while waiting for a taxi. Fiji Time was also announced, as we waited for our boat that we have to Mana, was to bring our first island. We had planned for 9:30 clock and when we sat around in the boat at about 11:30 clock, we were uebergluecklich. The way to our island was unique. Light blue water, water that we have a clear view of the countless coral reefs bot; water directly to the pure jump!

Mana Iceland
We have decided for the island of Mana, because our hostel directly to a diving school was affiliated. Because Michael wanted to learn to dive! Once there, the Michi has signed for a 4-day immersion course, which also began the very next day. Full of energy and happy by the reasonable prices, I also reported to me for an advanced diving course. But on the first day, we scouted the island and of course first tried the local beer. Fiji Bitter won it, with a clear lead over Fiji gold. Exhaustion lands Fiji Bitter export in last place. A large bottle of Fiji Bitter (0.75 liters) cost to our resort, the Ratu Kini, seven Fiji dollars during happy hour only six. A top offer, from which we made good use.
I had seen before the flight times on Google Earth, and we see that the whole island is surrounded by reefs. The first time snorkeling, we then also have seen countless great colorful tropical fish and beautiful colorful corals, sea stars and creatively shaped blue mussels. On the beach, countless coconut trees. However, we had to share the island with several resorts and especially many young backpackers willing party, which was annoying especially at night. Since the resort to drinking games, said original-Fijian animate dances and loud music to buy beer and cocktails, we had more time to go far to be able to enjoy a quiet spot beach under the stars ...
In a tour of the island (Sandra was just diving) I found one morning, an abandoned village on a beautiful beach. Around 12 wooden huts were broken between palms. After half an hour I've felt like Robinson Crusoe, came to my then suddenly receive four children who had been hiding behind some palm trees. With a large machete in hand, she looked at me interested. What did they want that? It makes sense - to offer me a coconut! Before my eyes they hacked from the interesting to orange nut head and I could drink it. They marveled at my compass, and told me here that it is in the huts around the village from the TV series "Survivor" in question was from the film crew left behind simple ...

On the first full day of the then began to seriously - my diving course! I was very nervous. But fun with our Fijian instructor Petero everything went very easily and quickly, and after the first few days with theory and exercises all had a lot of fun. After four days, a theoretical examination and a total of four dives, I came out, and now the proud "Certified PADI Open Water Diver" and may the world up to 18 Meters deep dive! On my fourth dive I've seen even a tiny shark ;-)
Sandra, however, could indeed appear before been properly made, therefore, the advanced course. After five specialty dives it is now "Advanced Open Water Diver" and may be up to 30 feet deep down. While I was crammed inside watching television theory, she was a wreck, has made a night dive, got the compass to use underwater and remaining in the current. In a dive it was accompanied by six sharks! Panic spread through her as she noticed that after a collision with a coral her leg was bleeding - but the Sharks only looked interested.
After five days and the end of our dive courses then the time had come to seek us a secluded, quiet, lonely island. We chose Nacula, the Yasawas, five hours from the Mainland. Direct from the "Blue Lagoon". Do you remember?

Way back to Auckland - Waitomo Caves

the way back from Kaikoura to Auckland, we have not done in a day, so we half way somewhere in the pouring rain We slept in the car and then held in Auckland shortly before the Waitomo Caves. Since it is not allowed there to shoot photos, you can simply look here times.

There is a cave system that extends underground to several 100 km. We had decided for the sake of simplicity, the glow worm caves. First you walk through Tropfsteinhoehlen before you're upgrading to a boat that brings you into a deeper in the caves. The Wasserhoehlen are the so called Glowworm Caves. It is pitch dark until then to turn the corner and the whole Hoehlendecke is hung full of glowing fireflies. It feels like under a starry sky. Very impressive ..

In Auckland, we had another 2 days, we spent more or less relaxed, before we took the tile Ger climbed to in Fiji.

Kaikoura - whales, dolphins and again Meehr

Kaikoura is situated between picturesque snow-capped mountains and deep blue sea. But in Kaikoura to do only one thing: Whale Watching. That's what we did.

The next morning, after a pleasant evening in an Irish pub, we went on the boat that life presents to us for 3 hours the most beautiful animals. On our trip we saw 3 whales (sperm whales) who come to breathe for about 5 minutes to the water surface, and then to dive for 45 minutes, many dolphins and seals, the alert went through the water.
Especially in Kaikoura, there are so many whales all year round, reached as soon as the coast, the sea has a depth of about 1000m, is an ideal territory for whales. On the boat there were educational and interesting information about all living things-to-find spot. Highly recommended.

On the way back to the place we did not take the bus, but made a nice hike, which led to the hill and later along the coast directly over. There we saw seals and sheep, sheep and sheep ...
Then it was back in the Irish Pub for Quiz evening.

The South Island - Marlborough Sounds, Picton, drive to Kaikoura

Early morning we are on the ferry to drive in just under 3 hours from Picton. The route leads directly through the Marlborough Sounds, a fjordaehnliche landscape, where probably the best New Zealand white wine comes from. Even dolphins and whales could be seen theoretically, we have not.

The day was chilly, the wind fresh,
in Picton gabs then chips and fish.

was otherwise in Picton, 3,500 inhabitants, nothing going on. At the station there is a Subway. Or rather, when you walked through the subway, you were standing on the track. Each day there is a train (our 'Coastal Scenic'), and had half an hour late because it was forgotten, front dranzuhaengen a locomotive. Could happen again. Nevertheless, the train ride was one of the best we have ever experienced! Brand new, very comfortable, and really only made for tourists.

Slowly strolling through the countryside was us by speaker explains the scene. At the bar there were a few excellent local white and red wines. At the end of the train was a panorama compartment in which it was able to experience the landscape up close, cap, provided scarf, gloves and wine!
After we initially drove through vineyards and salt lakes, the second part was driving along the sea. The incredible light intensity was intense. The afternoon sun sank down incessantly, and thus were incredibly picturesque photos. We would have go on forever with this train can, but in Kaikoura was then end for us - for the rest of the South Island we have not enough time, this time.

Going South!

moved to the days of winter sports, we continue south, against the cold. Our goal was to Wellington, capital of New Zealand, and ferry service to the South Island. On the way to read it but not take Michi, hop in the home of bungee jumping from a bridge at the same time! But the way to jump was unique, as in the hills by a famous Shire. The canyon retired with 100-meter high rock walls of this landscape, and the jump is 80 meters free fall of the highest jump in New Zealand Canyon ...
I may jump twice before, but still turned on at once this incredible tingling, as I was told that I should now make it to the edge, at the extreme edge of a rickety diving board. The weight of the rope used up, the head says no, the heart says "Yes!", So let's get down, with loud howling ... I'll try the video that Sandra has made, upload, great only because of the scenery. But my death cry is not too bad either ;-) Below, I was caught by a boat, and pulled up to a winch back the 100 meters, almost as good as the jump. Then off to the car, and again - off to the south!
Wellington
a capital city with only 300,000 inhabitants had to be there on our route. Sandra particularly wanted this time to see more of the city than it was then. Somehow we managed nevertheless to see the city in two days of almost nothing. Instead we have the nature and enjoyed Irish pubs are down to view points, and have both New Zealand's first wind turbine and a great Seeloewenkolonie visited.
heavy heart we left our dear rental car at port and are jumping on the ferry - take the car would be enormously expensive was. Therefore, we planned that we only get around the remaining four to five days on the South Island by train.
