The Best Software To Make Invitations

Tongariro National Park - Alpine skiing in the summer

know since I Sandra, she told me about New Zealand raved, and what she experienced there and seen all the time, as they are not comfortable with their girls made the Land .... However, it was sad, then left out something to have: the "Tongariro Crossing", the crossing of an active volcano, Mount Tongariro (1967 m). Her friend Rebecca had it at the time, and aroused great photos with Sandra's envy. So it was clear: If it is possible even in winter, to walk over there, Sandra would be no stopping them ....

addition to the Mt Tongariro is Mt Ngauruhoe (2287 m, see picture). The two mountains were main characters in "Lord of the Rings," where she embodied the cruel landscape of Mordor. Second-named volcano Mount Doom was there, which is also easier to pronounce and to remember is.
Day 1: neck and Broken leg on the Anfaengerpisten
We stayed in the capital of the national park, aptly called "National Park". With a population of 460 they are considered by the locals as the metropolis of the region. The following evening we were bored, we went to sleep already estimated 19 clock :-), because that it was very cold throughout the hostel.

The next morning, then off you go: While I was moving toward me for the first time in my life to one that was Sandra me already a few steps ahead, had already learned to ski, at Angelika in Bavaria. I opted for a beginner course snowboarding, while they chose the course for advanced skiers. Great fun, and saubillig compared to Europe. Many Australians come to New Zealand because of the great mountains and the low price levels. I got any if two-hour lessons, and then was allowed to try alone on the Idiotenhuegel.

My view on the lower mountain foot was not as great, but just the feeling in the German mid-summer on the other side of the globe to lie in the snow (unfortunately, this happened a few times), was great. At the end of the day I was already extremely fast down the hill, once even without a fall. But my first attempt of a jump resulted in harsh pain in Steis. Enough for the first day. Sandra was a hill above, and also had their fun. We took us to come again two days later.

Day 2: 20 kilometers uphill and from
course we were lucky and the weather was for the first time in two weeks so well, that about anyone was allowed to climb the mountain. For this you have to say that grad is according to most New Zealanders held the worst winter in 20 years. Since then, we are there, but sweetness and light - it's the good karma that we have developed in Asia? Interesting idea, I think!
We were stretched about 20, mostly young people in the group. These two also young people that we should convict the mountain. No one really knew, what we were getting, many a times not even wanted to climb the mountain which is ... Well, the Japanese woman from the front desk of our hostel was there and had done it a few times. She said the weather was too beautiful to work, and was relatively spontaneous. That includes our German roommate Sven. The result was, here are the "ski house-photo".

Sandra's friend had boarded the Tongariro yes, even in summer, which is certainly a lot easier: We had to rent not only snow clothes (which we dragged along great weather, thanks for nothing), but also carry along extra crampons. But without the Waehren never become whatever.
One might now have a long history full details make of it. For example, I could tell from the poor Englishman, whom I met the day before the snowboarding beginner course. And the tour after the half, turned back, after the conductor told him, whilst good already at the top of what he believed by then. Instead, I let the pictures speak from here, by pointing out that we had a great view from above, a total of over 20 km of snow-capped mountain ran up and down, and the next day as planned again could bless the track ....

The Tongariro Crossing was certainly with the most impressive experience that we had ... When two days later we were already somewhere else, we heard only that because of bad weather up rise again, nobody could. People travel from far away there to do it. I appreciate our luck ... On the way back from the South Island (reports to follow) we are again driven past there and could not sheer mist and clouds of the mountains at all only see ...
